Seacam

Unique world-wide and unequalled for its image quality is the SEACAM SD superdome. With its 240 mm in diameter it is the largest dome port. Its superdome, ground from highly transparent optical mineral glass, captivates with tremendous picture quality and brilliance. Its excellent depth of sharpness with 18 mm lenses is as outstanding as its absolutely perfect image quality for overunder photos with 14, 15, 16 and 18 mm lenses. Ø 9 inch


Flat Port, Zoom Port, Macro Port

Seacam flat portAll ports offered for that purpose are equipped with a highly transparent, plane front glass and guarantee optimum results. They are suitable from the standard 35 mm lens via different zoom lenses up to the 200 mm macro lens. Ø 4 inch

Systemport

Seacam systemportThis is a combination of front port with port extensions for several lenses (AF 60, AF 105, AF 200, AF 70-180). Distance adjustment can be done directly at the system port at some cameras. Ø 4 inch

Domeport

Seacam domeportThe smallest dome offers you brilliant, clear photos for fixed focal distances of 24 - 28 mm wide angle lenses and superwide angle zoom lenses. For all those purposes we also have suitable diopters in first-class coating quality in our delivery programme. Ø 4 inch

Wideport

Seacam wideportSpecially designed for 20 mm wide-angle lenses, this port brings extraordinary clear pictures with full image angle and practically no distortion at the edges. With its handy size of 160 mm in diameter this dome port is also suitable for shorter focal distances. Ø 5.5 inch

Fisheyeport

Seacam fisheyeportBest image quality for 15, 16 mm fisheye lenses with a real angle of view of 180° on the diagonal. A precisely ground hemisphere is the prerequisite for inspiring, unique perspectives. Ø 6 inch

Port extension

Seacam port extensionsAvailable in several lengths, it allows an extension of the ports. This enables you to adjust lenses of different lengths individually or to use converters. Since you can combine it with other ports you save weight and space on journeys by plane.

Gears

Seacam gearsWe supply the suitable gears for a great variety of lenses for setting the aperture, distance, focus and zoom. All gears can be mounted easily and simply, for a perfect fit with O-rings or in variable design with tangential locking screw, and are made from high-grade plastic.

Optical coating

Seacam optical coatingWe cannot imagine optical elements without high-quality coating which definitely contributes to reflex-free SEACAM front glasses and their unique contrast. For that reason all front glasses can be coated upon request. The perfect correction and proper choice of the front glass allow to do almost without close up lenses. Thus there will be no optical impairment of your high-quality lenses. For lenses which require a diopter for optical reasons we offer it with optical coating

Simple change for ports

Seacam simple changeDeveloped by SEACAM for the first time, the safe screw thread and the popular bayonet were combined to a sensible unit. Front ports are manufactured of high-grade plastic or seawater-resistant aluminium and are radially O-ring sealed. The exchange of ports is simple and quick. The bayonet thread pulls the O-ring with only one revolution swiftly into the sealed face and positions the port exactly by stroke. The overlap is a full 360° and thus guarantees the highest extent of safety.

Front Ports

Interface

  • Many different lenses are required in ambitious photography. The gage and the interface for perfect images is the front port.
  • All SEACAM front port mounts are made from technical synthetic material or high-strength light metal depending on the size, double sealed and especially easy to exchange.

Optics

  • For standard lenses up to 35mm we use flat glass. Specially adapted dome glass is used with wide angle lenses from 24mm. The image quality is improved enormously because every image ray flows through the glass unfractured. The image angle of all lenses remains unaltered even under water. When lenses cannot be adjusted close enough or the full adjustment range needs to be retained under water we use diopters.
  • On a normal glass pane the loss of light already makes for 4%. Reflections are dependent on the refraction index difference between air, water and glass.
  • To achieve a largely reflection free light transmission a highly developed layer system is applied to the inside of the front glass. Optical coating makes for 3-5 % higher light yield, up to 70% less reflections and an outstanding contrast.

Accessories

Diopters
  • For wide angle or zoom lenses from 24mm focal distance which can´t be adjusted closer than 0,3m or for lenses which require the entire adjustment range we offer diopters of the highest optical quality.
Lens Gear
  • For the adjustment of focus and zoom we offer the respective lens gears for the different lenses. All lens gears are manufactures from technical synthetics and are available with O-ring fitting or variable design for a perfect fit. Brass threads ensure longevity and stability.
Protection Caps
  • For front glass protection of all SEACAM ports we have removable neoprene protection caps available. For the protection of the port threads and the housings we offer compatible plastic caps.

Flat Ports

  • Flat port mounts and extension rings are made from technical synthetics. In different lengths and adapted to the respective lens, they are all fitted with a flat parallel glass. The diameter of all flat ports is 105mm – the total length always given including the thread except for extensions. The optical coating on the inside is available as option.

Standardport P

  • Short port for standard optics of 28mm, 35mm and 50mm.

Macroport MP

  • Port especially tailored to macro lenses from 50mm to 200mm telemacro.

Extension  PVL

  • Tiered in different dimensions, they enable an extension to the port. An individual adjustment of lenses of different lengths or characteristics is thus possible and your travel baggage reduced.

Dome Ports

  • Depending on their size, dome port mounts are manufactured from technical synthetics or light metal. Fitted to the respective lens they come in different diameters and are all equipped with a special dome glass especially calculated for that particular lens. All dome ports have a precisely measured integrated sun shade. The optical coating on the inside is optional except for the fisheye port. An anti-reflex coating of the port mount with fiber flocking is also optional.

Wideport WP

  • The WP for 20mm wide angle optics delivers exceptional results with fully retained image angle and margin sharpness. The wide port mount with 140mm diameter is made from technical synthetics.

Fisheyeport FP

  • Best image quality for fisheye lenses with a diagonal image angle of 180°. The fisheye port mount with a diameter of 160mm is made from highly resistant light metal. For circular fisheye lenses the sun shade can simply be removed.

Superdome SD

  • Unique when it comes to image quality and margin sharpness and excellent for over & under exposures the SD reaches perfect quality with 14-18mm focal width as well as wide angle zoom lenses. The Superdome mount with 240mm in diameter is made from highly resistant light metal. For depths up to -160m there is a stronger version available.

Special Ports

Fisheye Macro Port

  • The fisheye lenses Nikon AF 10,5 and Canon EF 15 are ideally suitable. The mount for the super small dome port measures 105mm in diameter and is made from technical synthetics.

Wet Diopter

  • The WET DIOPTER SET consists of 2 high quality diopter lenses with a connecting ring. Under water these lenses are stuck onto the macro port´s flat pane and removed via their flexible straps. Air vents make sure that any trapped air can escape.
  • These WET DIOPTERS are available in two strengths and can be used individually or in combination with each other. Depending on the size, they are clearly marked for differentiation, they achieve different reproduction scales. For protection during transport, the WET DIOPTER SET and the different diopters are delivered in a neoprene bag.
